BuildME came about when Morne Nel and Eddie Aarons decided to join forces. The incentive was to create something fresh and breathe life back into the design and build industry.

OUR EXECUTIVE TEAM

Managing Director

Morné is a director of the company, working as the Managing Director. Morné oversees all operations as an Experienced Construction manager with extensive expertise within the high-level commercial and residential sector.

I have worked as a senior manager for the past 20 years with industry-leading companies and have been involved with projects valued at over $400m. Specialising in managing projects from pre-construction through the construction of residential to large-scale commercial builds.

Mornés extensive experience, strong commercial acumen, and ability to communicate ‘construction’ to clients, make him invaluable to setting up and overseeing any project.

Sometimes overcomplicated by the industry, his approach to success is refreshingly grounded – deliver on time, on budget, to the highest standard, and in the safest manner possible.

Originally from Westfield and Summerset Group, dealing in the medical, age care and hospitality sectors

Morné is the preferred client-side project manager for larger companies like Lion Group, Bunnings Aus/NZ, and Havana Group.

Business Development Director

As a previous shareholder and executive member of Creative Spaces. Eddie has extensive experience in project management of commercial office and retail fitouts. Having begun his career as an interior designer he has a unique insight into the design phase that allows him to manage the process of translating drawings into reality and anticipating any issues well in advance of implementation.

As well as being exceptionally motivated and pro-active, his personable nature enables him to build strong rapport and lasting relationships with his clients.

Eddie has successfully undertaken numerous significant interior fitouts and building refurbishments for blue chip clients such as NZ Superannuation, Lion Head Office, The Full refurbishment of NZ Blood Service Head office Epson including the new Blood collection centre and laboratories, NZ Blood Bank Auckland Hospital, Birthcare Auckland, Labtest Mt Wellington Laboratory, All Auckland Labtests collection centres, Auckland Oncology Remuera, SKM, NZ Racing Board, NZ Live, NZ Statistics, NIWA, Cerebos Greggs, Team McMillan (Rolls Royce) and Bunnings Head Office, amongst many others.

Operations Manager

 As an experienced town planner, Olivia joined our company to support our projects for all our consenting requirements, consultant management, and regulatory expertise.

While her planning knowledge continues to support our projects, her role quickly adapts to meet the needs of the company.

Today Olivia works as our operations manager, overseeing the day-to-day running of the business, finances, policies, and procedures. Continuing to support each project manager to ensure compliance with health and safety, regulatory approvals, and implementation of any new management systems within the company.

Successfully implementing a new document control system, project administration tools, and financial software has allowed the business to continue to grow while maintaining the high standards we set at BuildME.

Her willingness to continue to add responsibilities, being proactive and adaptable to the requirements of the business is invaluable to the success of the company.
